In addition to Prada, Jil Sander cheap coach handbags, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, et al, a must-see on this season’s Milan fashion week calendar is “Lei e le Altre,” an exhibition at the Museo della Permanente, culled from the archives of RCS Periodici cheap coach handbags, the publishing company behind titles like Max, Amica, L’Europeo and the legendary but defunct Lei. Curated by Maria Luisa Frisa and designed by Arabeschi di Latte, the dense, labyrinthine installation presents style milestones at every turn, including Jackie Kennedy on a Roman holiday, Françoise Hardy in 1970s-era Yves Saint Laurent and fashion’s current patron saint, Lady Gaga. But the view is ultimately panoramic: “Fashion can be used to read and interpret society, and to tell stories about the evolution and emancipation of women,” Frisa says. Here fashion acts not only as a reflection of social change, but as a driving force behind it — and not just on paper.
